Common questions
Is my portrait painted by hand?
No. Your portrait is created digitally from your photo in the design you choose, then checked and retouched by us before we send you a proof. It is printed and framed by us, or sent to you as a full-resolution download.
Do I see my portrait before it is printed?
Yes. We email you a proof, usually within two working days of your order. Reply to approve it, or tell us what you would like changed. Nothing is printed until you are happy.
What kind of photo do I need?
A clear photo where your dog's face is in focus, taken at their eye level with both eyes and ears showing. Daylight works better than flash. It does not need to be a professional photo.
Can I add my dog's name?
Yes, on most designs. Type it in the order form and we set it in an elegant script on the portrait. A few designs build the name into the artwork, and a few look best without one; each design page says which.
Can I have two dogs in one portrait?
Our designs are made for one dog. If you would like two together, get in touch before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
Which frame finishes are there?
White, black, oak and vintage ivory. They all cost the same.
How long does delivery take?
Once you approve your proof, UK orders usually arrive in 3 to 5 working days and European orders in 5 to 10. Downloads are emailed straight away.
